Get Prepared!
The first phase of the Golden Gate Village revitalization is anticipated to begin February 2026. If you live in Phase 1, now is the time to start preparing. To make sure you are best prepared:
-
- Stay in good standing. Make sure your rent and annual certification are up to date.
- Contact Raj Virk at Autotemp at 888-202-9195 ext. 16 to discuss your household’s needs.
- Join outreach meetings. Learn about updates, ask questions, and stay connected.
- Plan ahead for your temporary move. Start thinking about your temporary housing options, which option is best for you and your household, and what you’ll need to take with you during your temporary move.
- Get organized now. Sort through your belongings and decide what to keep, what to store, and what to bring with you to your temporary home.
- Take part in the Community Clean-Up. Dumpsters are available to help make decluttering easier!
Burbank Housing and Marin Housing Authority are committed to making your temporary relocation as seamless as possible at no cost to you. Call Autotemp today at (888) 202-9195 ext. 16 so we can better understand your needs and create a personalized relocation plan together.
HOW WILL TEMPORARY RELOCATION WORK?
• A relocation specialist will work with each individual household in good standing to create a personalized temporary relocation plan that responds to their unique circumstances and assist them throughout the process.
• At least 90 days before revitalization work begins for each phase, we’ll share a temporary relocation plan with residents.
• Households will be temporarily relocated in Marin City for approximately 3-4 months while revitalization of their home is completed.
• All costs associated with temporarily relocating including moving costs, temporary housing costs, and advisory services will be paid for by Burbank Housing and MHA.
