Before the start of revitalization for each phase of work, all residents in good standing will sign a new Section 8 project-based voucher lease for their home. All residents must be in good standing to sign a new lease. No resident in good standing will be permanently displaced.
To be in “good standing,” a household must:
-
- Have no past-due rent (or be on and current with a payment plan).
- Submit all standard yearly recertification documents.
- Have no lease violations or criminal charges.
Individual meetings will be scheduled to discuss a resident’s current standing. Golden Gate Village residents must meet these requirements in order to sign a new lease.
Once the revitalization is complete, all residents in good standing will have the right to return their homes.
